Hi! I’m Melissa Mallon, an academic librarian with a passion for teaching and instructional
design. My professional interests center around teaching information literacy and critical thinking skills, creative use of emerging technologies and social media in education, and online learning.
I have a B.A. in English Lit and Art History (minor) from Wichita State University and a Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Louisiana State University. I am currently an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Library Instruction at Wichita State University. I also work as an online writing coach at University of Maryland University College for the Graduate School. I previously worked as the Library Instruction Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and as a graduate assistant and instructor at Louisiana State University.
